The Core Storyline

Heer Sara (originally titled Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry) is a heartfelt, slice-of-life Hindi road-trip drama that celebrates female friendship, sisterhood, and personal freedom. Written and directed by Kartik Chaudhry along with co-writer Manuj Sharma, the film explores modern Indian relationships and societal expectations through a lively, emotion-filled motorcycle journey across the country.

The narrative introduces us to two young women from completely different backgrounds who live in Indore. Sara (Patralekhaa) is a quiet soul who shares a distant, strained relationship with her single father Dharamvir (Arif Zakaria). Haunted by the memories of her mother Lalita (Shveta Salve), who left her when she was just ten years old, Sara finds comfort in riding an old motorcycle. When she stumbles upon a crucial clue suggesting her mother is living in Pondicherry, she impulsively packs her bags for a cross-city ride.
