The Core Storyline 

The Narmada Story is an intense, emotionally charged, and realistic Hindi social crime drama that places a strong focus on systemic corruption and women fighting back against a broken system. Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Zaigham Imam (Nakkash, Alif), the film trades glossy commercial action for a raw, performance-driven look at rural crime networks operating in the heartland of India.

The story is set in Narmadapuram in rural Madhya Pradesh, where the quiet life of Agni (Ashwini Kalsekar), a fierce tribal woman, is shattered when a dangerous, organized criminal syndicate threatens her family with the kidnapping of her young daughter. Refusing to stay silent or bow down to local terror, Agni searches for help but quickly realizes that the criminal network has deep roots in the local system. The entire situation escalates following the sudden, mysterious disappearance of a local police inspector, Purshottam Bhadoria.
