The Core Storyline

Written and directed by Mudassar Aziz, and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra under the banners of T-Series Films and B.R. Studios, this highly anticipated 2-hour-2-minute Hindi romantic comedy serves as a vibrant spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh. Masterfully breaking away from typical infidelity tropes, the film instead delivers a calculation-heavy, clean situational comedy layered with misunderstandings, bringing a refreshing twist to modern relationship dynamics.  The gripping and humorous narrative unfolds in the historic city of Prayagraj, tracking the life of Prajapati Pandey (played with monumental screen presence and effortless charm by Ayushmann Khurrana). Prajapati is a devoted, unassuming forest officer who enjoys a stable, quiet marriage with his loving wife, Aparna (portrayed with exceptional depth and grace by Wamiqa Gabbi). However, their seemingly perfect life permanently fractures when Prajapati accidentally reconnects with his former classmate, Chanchal Kumari (played with immense energy by Sara Ali Khan). Chanchal is desperately running from the clutches of a powerful and menacing local politician, Gajraj Tiwari (Tigmanshu Dhulia). Driven by good intentions, Prajapati takes a collective deep breath and decides to secretly arrange a safe house for Chanchal while planning her quiet relocation to Canada.
